Tissot images with normal cylindrical equal-area projection edit
Could you create more Tissot images for https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Cylindrical_equal-area_projection&oldid=1132370342#Specializations_of_the_normal_cylindrical_equal-area_projection - Smyth/Craster (aspect ratio 2), Trystan Edwards 37,24°, unnamed 40°, Balthasart 50°, Tobler (aspect ratio 1)? Especially Smyth/Craster and Tobler would be nice. Euro2023 (talk) 15:29, 8 January 2023 (UTC)

Illustration of a Venetian 15th century great galley edit
I've noted that you made a very nice illustration of the rowing arrangement of a trireme. Would you be interested in making another one in the same style based on the work of Jules Sottas.[2]
I have a much better version in The Age of Galley that I can upload if you're up for it. Peter Isotalo 11:54, 7 July 2023 (UTC)
- Think we might not need the upload. I found a high res scan of the original foldout page at BnF here.[3] It's by Jules Sottas, Les messageries maritimes de Venise aux XIVe & XVe siècles Société d'éditions géographiques, maritimes et coloniales, Paris. 1938.
- If it's easier, feel free to split it up into separate illustrations for each of the three perspective. If you want to get really creative, you can add the rigging as well to the side view. There's an illustration of it on the front page[4] and in various configurations on pages 89, 171, 173 and 226.
- The English terms for the captions for the top view:
- galley
- stable
- "forum"
- And for the side view, from the aft, then down and towards the bow:
- helmsman
- captain
- women's quarters
- cellar
- main hold
- forward cabin

Permission to use your map go Greece showing German invasion, 1940 edit
Hello and Bonjour. I am documenting my late father's World War II history. He was from New Zealand, and participated in the fighting in Greece against the invading German troops. He was to be evacuated on a ship from Athens (the Hellas), however that ship was bombed by the Germans (despite flying a Red Cross flag), and my father suffered severe leg injuries- he was one of 205 that survived out of 1400. He was then admitted into a Greek hospital in Athens, but found by the Germans, and when fit enough was taken to Germany as a Prisoner of War at Stalag IX-C. He spent nearly 4 years in hard labor. The work that is yours is here https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Battle_of_Greece_WWII_1941_map-en.svg, I will credit you. I request your permission to use the map at the link above. My work is not-for-sale, only for family, friends and others interested, and will derive no revenue. Thanks and Merci. 2601:281:8100:9220:61BB:C7BE:E128:BD94 22:25, 18 November 2023 (UTC)
Use of geological map in MA thesis on coastal archaeology edit
Hello. I am a Norwegian university student, and I wanted to let you know I am intending to use your map on the surficial geological makeup of Europe (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Geology_of_Europe#/media/File:Europe_geological_map-en.jpg) in my Master's Thesis. The thesis is a comparative analysis on the impacts of sea-level rise on coastal cultural heritage in Norway, Ireland & Scotland. The paper's focus will especially be on what guidelines and policies are in place in each country, with the intent of (hopefully) helping steer Norwegian policy-making towards a more proactive- rather than reactive approach. Your map will serve a role in a (sub)chapter on the differences in geological resilience. Thank you for your work on this map. Jamblesss (talk) 12:53, 7 December 2023 (UTC)
Provinces of France prior to 1790 Lambert Map edit
Hi! I am working on a project regarding the divisions of France and I was wondering if you can make a map of French provinces in 1789 on the Lambert projection? I know other maps of them exist but the Lambert projection is most accurate in size and I am using that projection for the other administrative divisions of France for my project. Let me know if you think you can help!
