This file was initially tagged by Artoria2e5 as duplicate (duplicate) and the most recent rationale was: File:Antarctica and the Southern Ocean.svg. Not an exact duplicate, however. —‍Mdaniels5757 (talk • contribs) 17:31, 3 January 2021 (UTC)Reply[reply]

It is not at all a duplicate: it is a different image with a different purpose. The original, File:Antarctica and the Southern Ocean.svg is a map of Antarctica and its region, while File:The Southern Ocean and Antarctica.svg is a locator map to identify the Southern Ocean. It can be used for that purpose in articles, whether on Wikipedia or other sites using Commons. It would have been improper to fiddle with the original so dramatically, which may be drawn for a different purpose and contains no errors. Hogweard (talk) 19:19, 3 January 2021 (UTC)Reply[reply]
