No date given for this image, so we can't say it's public domain. Link to source doesn't give any licensing details. Rodhullandemu (talk) 15:35, 13 August 2021 (UTC)Reply[reply]

The date, I am informed, is 1960. I have added that to the code. It was originally uploaded on behalf of the St Helens Archive Service, and so I have added also an attribution tag. Hogweard (talk) 15:40, 13 August 2021 (UTC)Reply[reply]
I don't want to lose this image, but unless St Helens Library Archive has released this under a CC or compatible licence, I don't think we can keep it. Fair use would be OK on en:WP, but not here, sadly. Rodhullandemu (talk) 15:57, 13 August 2021 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Hi Rod, unfortunately this was pulled from archives over a decade ago. Date is 1960, but the public domain status was because it was released by the photographer with his photo collection when he passed in the 70's (he worked for one of the newspapers and this was an unused image) long before CC0 was a thing. At the time the photos were considered out of copyright. I attributed to the team that did the scanning of the non-copyright images they accessed at the Archive. Attribution to St Helens Archive Service is the only option, but there is no copy of the license issued at the time (I have tried going back through the Library Archive service website to identify the image but it may not be one they have yet uploaded)? License would have been non-commercial attribution which was originally applied (unless I did it wrong). Koncorde (talk) 16:02, 13 August 2021 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Deleted: per nomination and discussion. A non-commercial attribution is not an acceptable licence on Commons. --Ellywa (talk) 20:36, 1 March 2022 (UTC)Reply[reply]
